Specific itinerary
Day 1
After breakfast, meet your guide at the hotel and visit the Forest of Stone Steles Museum (30 mins), Shaanxi's oldest museum specializing in stone inscriptions, epitaphs, and carvings. Next, explore the Xi'an Museum (1 hour), featuring a Tang-era pagoda, historic bell tower, and classical gardens.
Stroll through the Bell & Drum Tower Square (30 mins) to admire Ming Dynasty architecture, then visit the Muslim Quarter (30 mins) for independent exploration and dinner.
Discover the Yisu Cultural Block (40 mins) near Bell Tower, blending opera theaters, local snacks, and vintage shops. Later, experience the Tang Paradise (1 hour), a royal garden showcasing Tang Dynasty grandeur with multi-sensory exhibits, before heading to the Great Tang Mall Night Market (1 hour) for iconic performances like the "Unstoppable Girl."
Day 2
After breakfast, depart for Great Ci'en Temple (1 hour), home to the iconic Big Wild Goose Pagoda. Built in 652 AD by Xuanzang to preserve Buddhist scriptures from India, this Tang Dynasty brick pagoda is the earliest and largest of its kind, symbolizing ancient Chinese craftsmanship. At the pagoda, take a moment to pray for your family. Next, visit North Square of Wild Goose Pagoda, Asia's largest musical fountain plaza (40 mins).
Lunch & Afternoon Exploration
Enjoy lunch at Chang'an Bazaar (avg. ¥60/person) in The Joy City mall, savoring local delights like gourd chicken, brush pen pastries, and mahjong desserts. Proceed to Tang Paradise (1 hour), China's first "five-senses" imperial park, featuring the world's largest outdoor fragrance system and water shows. Then, step into The Twelve Hours of Chang'an (50 mins), a 24,000-sq-meter immersive block with NPCs, live performances, and lantern-lit Tang scenery.
Evening: Night Market & Return
Explore Tang Paradise Night Street (1 hour, unguided), where themed plazas showcase attractions like the "Unshakable Girl" dance. Return to hotel at your leisure.
Note: Due to the night street's layout, guests will explore freely without a guide or vehicle.
Day 3
After breakfast, depart by bus for Lintong (50 km, approx. 1-hour drive). Upon arrival, visit Huaqing Palace (1.5 hours)—a historic complex blending imperial hot springs gardens with the Xi'an Incident sites. Rulers from the Zhou, Qin, Han, Sui, and Tang dynasties revered this feng shui gem. The guided tour includes:
- Xi'an Incident sites: Huayuan Garden and Five-Pavilion Hall
- Imperial baths: Guifei Pool (Tang Xuanzong's retreat), Haitang Pool (famed for its "smooth, jade-like waters"), Lotus Pool, Star Pool, and Crown Prince Pool
Lunch (1 hour) followed by a visit to the world-renowned Terracotta Army Museum (2.5 hours), exploring Pit 1, 2, and 3—the "underground military museum" and one of archaeology's greatest discoveries. Wander among these awe-inspiring artifacts, and history comes alive.
Bonus: Stroll through Everlasting Xi'an Park, a surreal realm of themed streets, interactive NPCs, and local snacks. The highlight is the 1-hour show Everlasting Xi'an, a breathtaking spectacle blending water effects, sandstorms, and storytelling to revive the glory of past dynasties. Afterward, return to the hotel.

The site comprises three zones: exhibition halls, historical temples, and landscaped gardens. Next, explore Bell & Drum Tower Square (30 mins), where Ming Dynasty structures illuminate the night sky. Stroll through Muslim Quarter (30 mins, unguided) to sample street food.
Tour Yongning Gate of Ming City Walls (1 hour), the best-preserved ancient fortification in China. Walk along ramparts overlooking Old Xi'an, then descend to Yongxing Snack Street (40 mins, unguided) for Shaanxi delicacies. This cultural hub revives traditional "fang" (neighborhood) vibes.
